"Pseudo Folliculitis Barbae", "PFB", commonly known as "shaving bumps", is a widespread problem among individuals with curly hair and dark skin.
As facial and neck hairs grow out of the skin, they immediately curl and re-enter it, which reacts to them as foreign bodies and becomes inflamed and irritated, creating 'bumps'.
Sometimes these bumps could become quite large; they are somewhat relieved by using medications such as topical steroids. A more common method of eliminating these bumps is pulling the in-grown hair out after each shaving, which is painful and time-consuming.
Our treatments provide a long-lasting effective relief for this condition by removing the hair follicles on all skin types: they can safely and effectively be used on tanned skin or on patients with natural dark skin

Folliculitis is an inflammation of hair follicles due to bacterial or fungal infections. The skin around them looks inflamed and acne-like often extruding pus.
Unlike PFB, folliculitis can occur in all skin and hair types and not related to shaving. This problem can be both temporary or chronic; our treatments can also help with folliculitis because either bacteria or fungi do not grow outside the hair shaft. By removing the hair follicles, our treatments significantly relieve this problem.
